From the moment she entered the studio, the atmosphere was electrified by her warm, engaging personality. In preparation for the shoot, we utilised Pinterest as a means of gathering inspiration and formulating ideas. This visual platform enabled us to envision the desired aesthetic, and ultimately craft a classic portrait shoot imbued with a distinctive, contemporary edge. Collaborating with models like Polly is not only an enjoyable process but also a rewarding one, as it yields breathtaking results.
Polly’s wardrobe for the shoot was an intriguing blend of masculine and feminine elements, demonstrating her versatile style and inherent charm. In some photographs, she donned a men’s jacket and dress shirt, exuding a sense of power and confidence. Thanks to the kind support of Jaga (@jagagalganek), who brought her Pentax 67 to the studio, we were able to infuse our shoot with the classic charm of traditional film photography. The timelessness of black and white film, coupled with Polly’s distinctive aura, rendered this particular segment of the shoot a true ode to the enchantment of yesteryears.
