Portrait photography in Suffolk
These are portraits made at my studio in Rendlesham and on location. Some are straightforward sittings. A lot of them are not, because the people in them arrived with an idea and we built the shoot around it.
What a portrait session can be
A simple studio portrait against a clean background. A themed or concept shoot, worked out between us beforehand. A set of images for someone who needs range rather than one good frame. Creative work where the lighting and styling are as much the point as the likeness.
Why the planning matters
The portraits here that people remember are the ones where the idea came first. If you arrive with a picture already in your head, tell me about it before the day. Props, backdrops and lighting all take setting up, and that is a far better use of a session than deciding on the spot.
Talking it through first
Every enquiry gives you the option of a call before you commit to anything. You can book a free call, send a WhatsApp message or ring me, whichever suits you.
What a portrait session costs
Session fees and the price per edited image are set out on the portrait photography page.
Common questions
How much does a portrait session cost?
The Portrait Session is £110 for one edited image. The Classic Portrait Package is £170 for three, and the Signature Portrait Collection is £280 for seven. The £80 session fee is included in each and paid when you book.
How long does a session take?
Up to three hours, with time for changes of clothes and a changing room at the studio.
I don't think I'm photogenic. Is that a problem?
No. The studio is private, with nobody looking on and no pressure. It suits people who don't think they're photogenic.
How do I get to the studio?
It's at Base Business Park in Rendlesham, near Woodbridge, with free parking directly outside and two steps down into the studio. Wickham Market station is five minutes away. Send me your train times and I'll collect you and take you back afterwards.
