Wedding Photography F.A.Q.

Once you have booked your date and the venue get in touch with me as soon as you can to check with me my availability. You can book me via email as an easier option, where you can tell me the date, venue and which package you are more interested in.
This way we can have a discussion followed by me sending you an online booking form and contract. I am always happy to meet you for a cup of coffee and talk through all the possible details of your special day.
To secure your booking with me I require the signed contract along with a non-refundable booking fee of £200 and the remainder of the payment is due one calendar month before your wedding day.

Yes, I am fully insured with both professional indemnity and public liability insurance.
Lots of venues require copies of my insurance documents which I am very happy to supply on request.

No, not usually, but it also depends on the size of the wedding. I will always advise you If I feel a second wedding photographer is necessary or if I require an assistant.
There will be an extra cost to you if this is required, £250 for a second wedding photographer or £150 for an assistant.
An assistant is a great asset to have and I usually ask that we have one at the wedding if the guest list is over 75 people.

I understand the importance of group shoots but try to keep them to a minimum. It usually takes, on average (if everyone doesn’t disappear to the bar) 5 minutes per group. So if you have chosen, for example, a list of 20 group shoots then we need to allow  1 hour 40 minutes. 
I have a comprehensive list of suggested group shoots if you require them.

I never limit myself on how many images I take on a day, but I estimate to provide a gallery with a minimum of 500 images and which could be up to 800, which shows your wedding story in the best way. 
Every wedding image will go through a very careful selection and post-production, where I work on every individual image. Timing can be slightly different from wedding to wedding, it all depends on what time of year it is and how busy I am with other jobs, but generally, it takes 4-8 weeks for the final gallery. Then I send you an online password protected gallery to view and share your images with your family and friends, where they also can purchase digital files, prints, and wall art. 
If you have any products in your chosen package then they will be sent to you 1-2 weeks after you have received your online gallery. Any extra purchase via an online gallery usually takes a similar time to be posted. 
I keep the online gallery open and available for at least 4 weeks, which gives you all plenty of time to download images or make any purchases.

The meal for the photographer is not in my contract.  And I would never say “you must feed me”, but of course, I always appreciate nice fresh food after lots of hours of work. It does not have to be a 3-course meal, simple food from the bar is very appreciated to top up my energy levels. Most of the venues do provide a cheaper meal option for suppliers, please check it with your venue first.

The pre-wedding session is amazing to have 3-4 months before the wedding or even earlier if you think you want to use those images for some displays at the wedding.
I love this session a lot and always recommend it to my couples to have it done, it really makes such a difference to the day. It gives you confidence in front of the camera and gives me a great idea of how is the best way to capture you. This also builds an amazing friendship between us, which is a great way to start your story and after all, it will be so much fun. Lots of the couples have used these images for the table plans, slideshow during the first dance or dinner, table decorations etc.
