Personal branding photography is for anyone who needs professional images that actually look like them at work. Not a stiff headshot against a plain background, and not a candid snap from a phone. Something in between: well-lit, considered, and honest.
I work with freelancers, business owners, coaches, consultants, and creatives across Suffolk, Norfolk, and Cambridgeshire who need photographs they can use across their website, LinkedIn profile, email newsletters, social media, and marketing materials.
What personal branding photography involves
A personal branding session is a portrait session with a purpose. The aim is to produce a set of images that work together across different contexts, rather than one good photograph you use for everything.
Depending on what you need, that might mean studio portraits against a clean background, location shots that show you in your working environment, or a mix of both. I will discuss this with you before the shoot so we are working towards something specific.
Sessions run up to four hours, which gives time for multiple outfits, different settings, and a variety of crops and compositions. You do not need a clear vision of exactly what you want. Most people do not. Part of my job is to ask the right questions so we end up with images that suit how you actually present yourself online.
It is not the same as a standard headshot session, which focuses on one or two clean professional portraits. Personal branding sessions are broader, longer, and designed to produce a library of images rather than a single standout photograph. Before the shoot
A quick conversation first
We will have a brief conversation about how you use the images and what you want them to say about you. I will ask about your business, your audience, and whether you have any specific requirements for format or composition. This does not need to be a long meeting. A short exchange online or by phone is usually enough.

On the day
The session itself
Studio sessions are at Base Business Park, Rendlesham, near Woodbridge. There is parking on site and changing facilities available. On-location sessions can be arranged anywhere across the region.
I will guide you throughout. Most people are not experienced in front of a camera, and that is fine. Sessions run up to four hours, but many people find they have everything they need in two. There is no pressure to fill the full time.

After the shoot
Your edited gallery
I will edit the best images and upload them to a private online gallery. You choose the ones you would like. If your package includes a set number of images, mark any extras in the gallery and I will invoice you for them. Please allow 14 to 21 days for your gallery to be ready.

Both are available. Studio sessions are straightforward and give clean, consistent backgrounds. On-location sessions work well if your working environment is part of your brand, for example if you work from a distinctive space or your business is closely tied to a particular place. We will discuss what suits you best before the session.

Wear what you actually wear for work, or what you would wear if you were meeting a client. Multiple outfit changes are included, so bringing two or three options gives you more variety in the final gallery. It is worth avoiding very busy patterns or logos that might date quickly.

A headshot session produces one or two strong, clean portraits, typically in a single look. A personal branding session is longer, covers multiple outfits and settings, and is designed to give you a library of images you can use across different contexts. If you only need a profile photo or LinkedIn image, a headshot session is probably the right choice. If you need imagery across your whole online presence, a branding session will give you more to work with.
