As an artist, it is essential to present yourself professionally online. This includes having a high-quality headshot as your profile picture on your website and social media platforms. A professional headshot helps establish your personal brand and gives a good first impression to potential clients.
Last November, I had the opportunity to take headshots for Alison Dunmore, a talented abstract painter and pet portrait artist based in Staffordshire. Alison was visiting Suffolk and wanted to update her headshots at my studio.
Having a professional headshot not only shows that you take your work seriously, but it also allows others to see your personality and character. This can be a crucial factor in someone’s decision to work with you as an artist.
In today’s digital age, it is important for businesses, especially artists, to have a strong online presence. A cohesive look across all of your online profiles, including a professional headshot, helps to build a strong personal brand.
If you are an artist looking to update your headshots, I recommend booking a session with a professional photographer. For more of Alison’s amazing art, be sure to check out her website and Facebook page.
