Good website photography makes an immediate difference
Your website is doing a job, even when you’re not. Most potential clients will look at it before they decide whether to get in touch, and the images on it form a first impression before they’ve read a single word. If those images are stock photos, old phone shots, or pictures that don’t reflect how your business actually looks, that impression can work against you.
I work with businesses across Suffolk to create photographs specifically made for use on websites. That means images that are planned, lit and shot with your site in mind, not repurposed from something else.
What does website photography involve?
It depends on what your site needs. Some clients want a full set covering their premises, their team, their products and their working environment. Others need something more specific, like a run of clean headshots for an “about” page, or images of their workspace that show what they actually do.
Before any shoot I’ll talk through what you need and where the images will be used. That conversation shapes the whole approach, from where we shoot and how we light it, to how long we’ll need on the day. I don’t show up and improvise. I come prepared, and the images reflect that.
Who is website photography for?
Any business that has a website and wants it to work harder. I’ve photographed hospitality venues, professional services firms, health and wellness businesses, retailers and sole traders who needed something more credible than a phone photo to represent them online.
If your site is running on stock images, or photos that are a few years out of date, professional photography is usually the most direct improvement you can make. And it shows immediately.
What you get from working with me
The shoot is planned properly before we start. You get images you can actually use, in the right formats and sizes for web. I’ll deliver them in a way that makes sense for your developer or your own CMS, and if you need something specific, ask and we’ll sort it.
I’ve been working commercially across Suffolk and the wider region for many years, with clients including Adnams, hospitality businesses, professional services firms and product companies. The gallery below gives you a sense of the range. You can also see examples of personal branding work if that’s closer to what you need.
Based in Suffolk, working further afield
My studio is at Base Business Park in Rendlesham, near Woodbridge. I work on location across Suffolk, Norfolk, Essex and Cambridgeshire, and further when the job calls for it. If you want to know whether I cover your area, just get in touch.
Frequently asked questions
How many images will I receive? We’ll agree on a number as part of the initial conversation. Website photography doesn’t fit neatly into a standard package because no two briefs are the same. I’ll quote based on what you actually need.
Can you come to us? Yes. Most website photography happens on location at the client’s premises rather than in the studio. I’ll talk through the space with you beforehand so the shoot is planned properly.
How long will a shoot take? It depends on the scope. A focused session, say a set of team headshots in one location, might take a couple of hours. A fuller shoot covering premises, people and products could run most of a day. I’ll give you a realistic estimate when we discuss the brief.
What format are the images delivered in? JPEG files, optimised for web use. If your developer needs specific dimensions or file types, let me know and I’ll accommodate that.
How do I get a quote? Get in touch and tell me what you need. I’ll come back with a clear figure based on your specific requirements.
