Deborah and Sarah, who own The Store, Saxmundham, are good friends of mine, and we had talked for a while about their website and how a few photographs could update it and give it some personality. Alongside Deborah and Sarah, six other women work at The Store, all with a passion for clothing, accessories and homewares, and the knowledge to help customers with whatever they need. That warmth and attention is what sets The Store apart from the faceless high street chains, which rarely get to know their customers personally. The ‘we’re the difference’ tagline grew out of exactly this, and it was important that it came across on the revamped site.
A team photo shoot at the studio
The team are always up for some fun, so we agreed they should come up to the studio for a group photo and start bringing some personality to their online presence. We had a good evening, and the photo is now used to promote The Store’s team. Even if it just lets a customer put a face to the voice at the other end of the phone, a good image of the people behind a brand helps customers connect and trust them. I think their warmth and energy comes through here, and it sets them apart from the generic stores up and down the country.
The Store are also active on social media. To see what they are up to, have a look at their Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages.
