A Suffolk Ceremony photoshoot

‘A Suffolk Ceremony’ magazine recently gave me the chance to photograph a bridal shoot at The Tudor Barn, a historic wedding venue in Belstead. I was glad to work with some of the finest wedding suppliers in the county, and to capture what makes planning a wedding special for a Norfolk or Suffolk bride.

‘A Suffolk Ceremony‘ is produced with both Norfolk and Suffolk Bride magazines, and it aims to give readers the inside knowledge, expert advice and tips to plan a ceremony in East Anglia. They arranged for me to meet some very talented people, all offering high-quality wedding services.

The Photoshoot

We met early one morning at The Tudor Barn, a restored Grade II listed barn on the Essex/Suffolk border that is fast becoming one of the busiest wedding venues in the south-east. The great hall holds up to 200 people, it is full of natural light, and it makes a lovely backdrop for the wedding photos. Guests enjoy the open space too, as the barn sits in seven acres of English woodland, along with the fully stocked bar run by Boston & Co, who serve cocktails, premium spirits, draught beers and wines.

The People

As I mentioned, ‘A Suffolk Ceremony’ brought together some of the best wedding suppliers to work with me on this shoot. Laura Bartrum of the Norfolk bridal shop ‘Boutique of Dreams‘ supplied the dresses, which were beautiful and modelled to perfection by Steffi Bickers. Steffi’s hair was styled by Melanie Grimwood of the Innov8 hair studio, and her make-up was by Millie Stammers of Millie Rose Hair & Beauty. Emily Shulver of Park Flowers by Emily Rose provided the flowers, both a floral crown for Steffi’s hair and a bouquet. I think these classic blooms give the final touch to Steffi’s look and really bring it to life.
