If you’ve ever wondered what the start of a bold new idea looks like, this is it. Jenna and Neve are two inspiring women on a mission to bring body confidence, joy, and community to Suffolk through dance. Their vision? A new women-led dance class is launching this summer. And I had the pleasure of photographing them at my studio to create the branding visuals for their exciting venture.
A Photoshoot for Purpose, Personality and Power
From the moment they walked into the studio, Jenna and Neve radiated energy and warmth. It wasn’t just a photoshoot, it was the first public chapter of a bigger story: one about empowering women through movement and photography.
They’re not just launching any fitness class. They’re working on building confidence-building dance classes for women in Suffolk, a space where every woman feels welcome, celebrated, and strong in her own skin.
A Brand Rooted in Confidence
Neve explained it best:
“Me and Jenna are focusing on starting a dance class, mainly women-driven, to get them confident in their bodies. We are still in the process of getting this started up, but hopefully by the summer we will be ready to begin!”
This kind of initiative fits right into the growing movement of women’s empowerment dance classes. These aren’t just about choreography, they’re about connection, self-expression, and standing tall in a world that too often tells women to shrink.
Dance Photography that Tells a Story
When we planned the session, the focus was on making sure their personalities came through clearly. Jenna and Neve have a fantastic dynamic, fun, thoughtful, and totally in sync. Their friendship is at the core of this business, and that chemistry really shines through.
The goal was to produce high-quality visuals for their website and social media, images that were simple, adaptable and effective. For many of the shots, I left plenty of negative space around them, anticipating future use in banners, flyers or posts with text overlays. That’s the beauty of dance class branding photography, it needs to be versatile enough for various uses but still visually striking on its own.
Professional Yet Natural
This wasn’t about stiff, overly posed portraits. These images needed to feel real. And that meant giving them the space to laugh, move, and bring their own energy to the shoot.
One of my favourite moments was seeing them laugh together, completely unprompted. That’s when I know I’ve done my job, not just capturing a photo, but capturing a mood, a bond, a moment of authenticity.
Supporting Suffolk Dance Entrepreneurs
It’s always a privilege to support Suffolk dance entrepreneurs who are building something from the ground up. Projects like this one are about more than business. They reflect a deeper change, a shift toward empowering women through dance and celebrating new beginnings through creative photography.
If you’re starting something new yourself, particularly in the wellness or creative space, getting professional, personality-driven images can make all the difference. Think of it not as a luxury, but as a vital part of how your brand speaks to the world.
A Few Words from Neve
“Bob made me feel comfortable and confident. It was my first time doing anything like that so I was nervous, but in a short amount of time I knew what I was doing with the help of Bob!”
It means a lot to hear that. Making someone feel at ease, especially when they’re doing something new and vulnerable, is always my top priority. It’s a big part of what makes a professional dance photoshoot successful.
Why This Matters: Movement, Confidence, and the Power of Visuals
There’s something uniquely powerful about seeing yourself through a lens that honours who you really are. And when that’s tied into a passion project, like a new dance business in Suffolk, it becomes part of a broader journey of ownership, visibility, and identity.
This wasn’t just a studio dance photoshoot. It was a branding session designed to carry their message far beyond the studio walls.
Looking Ahead: The Rise of Confidence-Led Dance in Suffolk
As Jenna and Neve prepare for their launch, I’m excited to see how this takes shape. They’ve got all the ingredients: passion, partnership, and a clear message that women deserve to feel good in their bodies.
Their dance classes aim to break away from pressure, perfection, or performance. Instead, they focus on movement as a tool for self-trust and celebration. In other words, how dance helps women feel confident in their bodies.
If you’re thinking of starting something similar, or if you’re simply looking to promote a business that empowers, then consider the value of a branding shoot that feels as authentic as your mission.
Thanks again to Jenna and Neve for bringing your energy and vision to the studio. I’ll be following your journey with interest and cheering you on every step of the way.
