I always enjoy a creative brief, and a recent makeup shoot with Courtney from Sweet FX and model Eva was one of my favourites. The aim was to show off Courtney’s makeup artistry and bring her work to a wider audience.
We settled on a gothic Victorian theme, which gave us a moody, atmospheric look to build around. Courtney used Ben Nye character crème foundation, a Qing Beauty eyeshadow palette, Mehron Metallic Makeup powder and mixing liquid, eyelashes from Amazon, and colour-your-eyes blind white contacts that gave Eva’s eyes a striking, otherworldly appearance.
Evies Owls supplied several beautiful owls for the shoot. They added real depth to the images and helped bring the Victorian theme to life.
Working with Courtney and Eva was a pleasure. Courtney’s skills were on full display across a range of looks, and Eva was a natural in front of the camera, bringing grace to every frame. The final images turned out beautifully, and I hope they bring even more attention to Sweet FX.
Collaborations like this are the part of the job I enjoy most. If you are in Suffolk and looking for portrait or model photography, do get in touch.
