Publishing and Album Cover Licensing Fees

Usage fees apply when images are published by a third party, used commercially, or included in physical or digital releases. All fees are in addition to the standard session fee.

Tier 1, Local Limited Local publication, low circulation One-off use in a small local publication (e.g. parish magazine, self-published). Print run under 5,000. UK only. £50
Tier 2, Regional Standard Regional or trade publication Print run up to 20,000 or online reach under 10,000 views. One-time use. UK only. £100
Tier 3, National Print or Web National reach, single medium Print run up to 50,000 or significant UK online reach. 12-month licence. £175
Tier 4, National Mixed Media National, multiple formats Combined use in print and online. Up to 100,000 total reach. UK only. 12-month use. £250
Tier 5, International or Extended Global or long-term use International rights or usage beyond 12 months. Includes syndication. £325
Tier 6, Full Commercial Rights Unlimited global use Unlimited print and digital usage worldwide. Perpetual licence. Suitable for book covers, magazine covers, lead editorial, and commercial media. £400

AC2, Full Digital Release Commercial digital platforms Use on platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music and Amazon. Up to 50,000 streams or downloads. One year, UK only. £150
AC3, Physical CD or Vinyl Includes physical packaging Use on physical CD or vinyl packaging. Run up to 10,000 units. Includes online use. UK and EU only. Two years. £300
AC4, Global Commercial Album Use All media, worldwide Unlimited digital and physical distribution. Includes global streaming, CDs, vinyl, press and promos. Perpetual licence. £400

Optional Add-Ons

Extended Duration Use beyond the stated licence period +20% of base tier
Exclusive Use Guaranteed exclusivity within a category or region +50% of base tier
Prominent Placement Use as album, book, or magazine cover, or as the lead image +25% of base tier

Important Notes

  • All licences are non-exclusive unless otherwise agreed.
  • Usage rights are limited to the agreed format, platform, and term.
  • Separate licences are required for reuse, syndication, or expansion of use.
  • Fees must be agreed prior to publication, printing, or release.
  • Copyright remains with Foyers Photography at all times.
  • Usage fees are in addition to the standard session fee and any editing or post-production charges.
