Some mornings on the job stand out, and this was one. Early on a bright morning I was at the newly opened Black Dog Deli in Yoxford, Suffolk, to photograph the deli for social media.
Andy and Michael, who run the deli, made me welcome as the village was waking up and the coffee was going on. I like these quiet moments before a place fills up.
Social media photography for a small business is about more than the look of the room. It needs to carry the atmosphere too: the warm interior, the food on display, the friendly faces behind the counter. Those are the images that give people a real sense of a place before they visit.
That was the brief here, and it is the thinking behind the three social media packages I offer. Each one gives a local business a set of photographs that reflect their brand and their story across their channels.
I work with businesses across Suffolk from my base in Bentwaters, and Yoxford, sat at the crossroads of the A12 and the tourist route A1120, was a good one to add to the list. You can see more of this kind of work on my commercial photography page.
My thanks to Andy and Michael for letting me photograph their first day. I left with a coffee in hand and a set of images from the deli’s opening, which is the sort of morning that keeps me doing this.
