Suffolk is a great place to work as a photographer, and with my studio near Woodbridge and only ten miles from Ipswich, I am well placed to look after professionals from across the county. Georgia got in touch to arrange a headshot shoot, as she needed new images for her LinkedIn and business pages. She runs a successful counselling business and knows that putting a face to the company name is key to building trust with potential clients and marketing herself well.
Georgia was a little nervous to begin with but soon settled into the studio. In cases like this it helps that I do not set a time limit on studio sessions, which takes the pressure off getting it right first time and lets any nerves ease. Headshots need to be personable and engaging, so it matters that the subject feels relaxed and comfortable with the photographer. Because a headshot is more functional than a portrait, it usually captures just the head and shoulders. That makes it important that any jewellery or clothing on the upper body is not too busy or distracting from the face. Georgia was a real pleasure to work with, and I wish her and her business every success.
Headshot sessions take around an hour and cost £80 plus £35 per edited digital image. For more on my rates for this type of shoot, please see my website. This shoot with Georgia was done in my studio, but I am also happy to take headshots at your business premises, which is especially useful when I am photographing a group of staff. If you have any questions, or would like to book a headshot session in the studio or on location, please get in touch.
