A strong portfolio is essential for any aspiring model. It is a set of photographs that show your look, your style and your range, and its job is to get you noticed by agencies and scouts.
I recently had the chance to work with Ella on her model portfolio at my studio in Bentwaters near Ipswich, where I shoot portraits, headshots and commercial work. Over the years I have photographed models at all levels, from complete beginners to experienced faces.
The results with Ella were lovely. The aim was a range of distinctive images that show her individuality and her potential, giving her plenty of variety to present.
A portfolio shoot is about more than getting good frames, though. It needs to hang together as a cohesive, professional set that reflects the model’s own brand and style. I work closely with each person to plan the session around what they actually need, so the finished portfolio feels like them.
Whether you are updating an existing portfolio or building your first, it is a worthwhile investment in your modelling. If you are in the Ipswich area and want to talk yours through, do get in touch.
