I had the pleasure of working with Bobbie Derrière, a burlesque dancer and member of the Snapdragon Cabaret. I have been doing promotional photography for this Norwich-based troupe, which prides itself on equity and body positivity. Bobbie was a natural in front of the camera and showed her figure with real ease.
We decided on a boudoir shoot, one of my favourite kinds of work. Bobbie was full of life and joie de vivre, and her confidence and charisma came through in every frame.
If boudoir photography interests you, take a look at my other website, suffolkboudoir.co.uk. I take pride in creating intimate, tasteful images that celebrate the beauty and confidence of the people I photograph, whether that is to surprise a partner or simply to celebrate your own body.
On every shoot I work to keep the atmosphere calm and relaxed. It matters to me that people feel safe and comfortable, so they can be themselves in front of the camera. Bobbie embraced the whole experience, which made my job a joy.
Working with the Snapdragon Cabaret has been a real privilege. Each member brings something of their own to the stage, and it is a pleasure to photograph them in a way that reflects their personality and artistry.
Boudoir photography can be genuinely empowering, and watching someone’s confidence grow through a shoot is one of the best parts of it. If you are considering a session, I would be glad to talk it through, so please get in touch.
