A Suffolk wedding at Seckford Hall.
The wedding of Tess and Alex was, quite simply, a joy to photograph. It was a real testament to two lovely people who took the task of wedding planning in their stride with little or no stress, which really showed on their big day.
With Tess’s parents living in Woodbridge it was the perfect place to get ready within a cosy family home environment where the very talented hair stylist(and artist) Lydia Brooks, was able to do the Brides and Bridesmaids hair in the comfort of their own family home.
Tess and Alex got married at the quintessentially British St Mary’s church in Great Bealings which was simply and elegantly dressed with wild flowers. The church had a special family connection as Tess’s parents were also married in there. Tess was wearing a beautiful dress by Allure called Portia in ivory from The Tailors Cat, Cambridge. Portia is a very delicate dress with intricate lace detailing, a scalloped v-neckline, elegant deep back and soft puddle train. Her classic shoes were by Freya Rose. Alex also looked every part the dashing groom in traditional morning suit.
After the ceremony a short drive took us off to Seckford Hall where the sun shone down on us as the guests were treated to a drinks reception in the grounds. All of the staff at Seckford Hall did a fantastic job in accommodating and looking after all of the guests, making Tess and Alex’s day a day to remember for all involved. After the meal came the speeches, and I have to say I forgot my position as photographer and found myself laughing along with the guests at one of the most memorable best mans speeches I have ever heard!
In homage to Alex’s Italian descent coffee and Grappa were served by Alex’s father in the Great Hall; just one of a number of personal touches throughout the day. As this wonderful day drew to an end the cake was cut and the band began to play as the evening guests arrived. “The SERIOUS Hat Band” played for the rest of the night, check out their Facebook page for more information as they come highly recommended!
This was such a fabulous day to be a part of and we wish Tess and Alex a lifetime of happiness together as husband and wife.
