VISIT SOUTHWOLD’S EXQUISITE THE SAIL LOFT THIS SUMMER
Are you thinking of going away this summer? You would enjoy no place better than the Sail Loft, a popular venue and fantastic location for enjoying the wonderful beach at Southwold, Suffolk, UK. Southwold is already well known as a popular holiday destination with visitors enjoying the beach, the pier and a wide range of boutique shops, plus a variety of eating places.
The opening of the Sail Loft has added yet another dimension to this popular resort. If you are thinking of taking a break from your busy life, then think of the Sail Loft.
Attractions in the Sail Loft
Considered Southwold’s beachside hideaway, the Sail Loft has a warm and welcoming surrounding which offers a casual and informal space with an emphasis on caring service and a lot of sumptuous delicacies and food. Taking pictures of the rooms at the Bell in Saxmundham and the interior of the Sail Loft has brought me much pleasure.
Because of the high number of tourists that visit this café-bar and restaurant, the rooms are rarely ever unoccupied. But of course, I have enjoyed every moment of working with the owner, Jonathan Nicholson.
Other features that you will enjoy include homemade food, en suite bedrooms, seasonal feasts, vegetarian and gluten free options, private parking, Wi-Fi and a host of other great things. If you want to bring your children, you are welcome to. They have impressive portions for them too.
Jonathan Nicholson’s Touch
Jonathan owns the Sail Loft and the Bell at Saxmundham. He is a local chef-restaurateur. I began my photography there with him when he first took over The Bell.Together with Luke White, his general manager, he keeps the Sail Loft open to families and friends who may want to have business meetings or celebrations.
The Sail Loft is on the Ferry Road, Southwold and next to the southern beach which heads towards Southwold’s working harbour. It overlooks the salt marshes towards Walberswick and is the perfect location for families and dog walkers.
In preparation for summer, Jonathan has got his builders working furiously to get the rooms ready and in the perfect shape for tourists and holiday cottage guests who would be visiting shortly. They never get enough of the Sail Loft. Who would?
At present, the rooms and well-appointed bedrooms look very amazing, and you will barely find an empty one. Why so? The Sail Loft is a popular and a beautiful haven for a holiday. You will get a good view of the beach from inside the rooms, and the standard and space are way more than perfect.
They are modern and built to a high standard, and I have always longed for an opportunity to stay over and photograph all night.
My Photography Experience
The rooms were always taken, and that was good news for Jonathan. But you know what? That was a little problem for me? You know why? I could not take the shots of the rooms.
Jonathan and I agreed on a way out, and we chose a day when the rooms had just been turned over.
When old guests were leaving, and the new ones were coming in, I worked quickly and easily. Thanks to the housekeeping staff. They did a fantastic job cleaning the rooms and keeping to time without leaving anywhere untouched. As soon as the first room was ready, I began taking the shots, and I made it quick and brief.
This was how I took the photographs, and we worked smoothly, making sure that we did not impinge on the guests’ space.
One-in-a-Million Touring Adventure
Another very lovely place to visit in the Sail Loft, Southwold is the eating and drinking area which is just by the dunes. At lunchtime when I was through with my work, I decided to have lunch at the Sail Loft, and I had one of the best burgers ever in the whole of Suffolk. You should try it too
I have enjoyed every moment in the Sail Loft, and I can’t wait to be there again. You would love it too. So what do you say? Are you ready?
