ShutterCraft Suffolk: taking your home to the next level.
Having already completed one photo shoot for ShutterCraft Suffolk I was asked back again last week to take some shots of some of their beautiful shutters and blinds that they have installed in a private home. The house was not far from me so it was a pretty short trip from my base in Peasenhall.
The house had a wonderful modern and contemporary feel, without losing the essence of it being a real family home, only enhanced by the blinds and shutters that I had come to photograph. It was a real pleasure and a privilege to be allowed to photograph this lovely home and I thank the owners for their hospitality. When photographing someones home it is essential to be careful to show respect to this individuals space, whilst still capturing the images that are required by the client. Since these images will be used for the client and not the home owner I was very mindful that I didn’t include in the shot the photos and items which were personal to the family but were not relevant to the final product.
Niall Darke owns and runs Shuttercraft Suffolk along with his wife Lyndsay, and they are your local Shuttercraft surveyors and installers. They are a local, family run business who pride themselves on providing their customers with the best service in the Ipswich, Lowestoft and Felixstowe area. Having been in the industry for over 25 years they have a great knowledge and experience surveying and installing shutters. This shows through greatly when I am asked to photograph their work as I have to study each image I take carefully.
Whilst taking these photographs I was chatting to Lyndsay who informed me that they had already received business directly from the previous photography that I had taken at the Ufford Crown and they were in the process of using the images to undertake a greater social media presence, including their new Instagram account.
It is always a pleasure to be asked back by a previous client, not only does it make me happy to know that they were pleased with my previous work but I truly believe that a great working relationship between a photographer and his or her client is essential in gaining a better understanding of the customers needs. This should result in some great shots that most importantly the client has every confidence in using to advertise their business.
