When it comes to proving that goals can still be achieved when the odds are stacked up against you I have found nobody more inspiring and with such a strong drive as the fantastic subjects of my most recent promotional photo shoot.
Peter Berry of Dementia Help is taking up the herculean challenge of cycling 330 miles over 6 days, west to east, from the seaside resort of Aberystwyth in Wales to our very own Aldeburgh in Suffolk. Jon Bray of local cycle centre SaxVelo will be joining him for the last leg of the journey. Both these dedicated individuals are undertaking this challenge for the incredible goal of raising vital funds for Young Dementia UK. If you would like to donate towards this very worthy cause you can read more about their story here.
We decided to split the shoot over two locations, Saxmundham and Aldeburgh. Helen Drain from our local care agency Christies Care also joined us at Saxmundham to lend her support. The dual location shoot offered an active variation of images which enhance the spirit of the event and gave me the opportunity to really get to know both Peter and Jon. Peter, aged 53, was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s 3 years ago and the condition eventually forced him to give up his well-established family business. However, the man that I photographed had the most positive outlook and both shoots were incredibly fun and energetic, and I am sure they will both need lots more energy and focus in the coming weeks ahead of their big challenge, and I wish them the greatest success!
I love the opportunity to shoot on location for Event photography and Promotional photography. It really helps to bring the nature and exciting vibe of the shoot to the forefront. If you need professional images to promote your business or need a photo shoot for an event or promotional material, whether it’s at your home, business or out on location please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
